We are recruiting for passionate and dedicated Children’s Residential Care Workers to join a well-established children’s residential service in Derby. The homes support young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where they can build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their full potential.

The Role
- As a Children’s Residential Care Worker, you will:
- Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to young people
- Support children in developing confidence, independence, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines, activities, and life skills development
- Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment
- Support education, leisure activities, and community engagement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement care plans
- Maintain accurate records of behaviours, progress, and key events
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing remain the priority at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or
- QCF Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
- At least 1 year experience within residential childcare
- Experience supporting young people with EBD or complex needs (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, resilient, and committed approach to supporting vulnerable young people
- A Full UK Driving Licence
