We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a solo (1-bed) children’s home in Rotherham.
This is a highly focused, therapeutic environment requiring strong safeguarding oversight, structured leadership, and consistent operational management to ensure positive outcomes for the young person.
šŸ” The Role You will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring:
  • Emotional security, structure and consistency for the young person
  • Full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 & Quality Standards
  • Strong safeguarding culture and effective risk management
  • Stable staffing (including 2:1 where required)
  • Clear routines, boundaries and behaviour management strategies
You will report directly to the Regional Manager and work closely with the Responsible Individual.
šŸ”‘ Key Responsibilities
  • Overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home
  • Oversight of placement plans, care plans & risk assessments
  • Leading, supervising and developing a trauma-informed staff team
  • Managing rotas to ensure safe staffing levels
  • Safeguarding oversight, incident management & statutory notifications
  • Budget management and financial accountability
  • Preparing for and leading Ofsted inspections
  • Multi-agency liaison with social workers and external professionals
  • Participation in on-call rota
šŸ‘¤ What We’re Looking For
  • Previous Registered Manager experience within children’s residential care
    (Strong Deputy Manager ready to step up may be considered)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or enrolled)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Experience managing complex placements
  • Calm, resilient and structured leadership approach
