We are recruiting for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a well-established Ofsted-registered children’s home in Derby supporting young people aged 10–18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs.

The Role
As Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality care, protection, and support to children and young people
- Support young people with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs
- Lead shifts, assist with planning, and delegate tasks to staff where required
- Facilitate key working sessions and service user meetings
- Support leisure activities, life skills development, and daily routines
- Implement care plans and risk assessments for young people
- Maintain accurate records of behaviours, progress, and daily activities
- Support conflict resolution and contribute to shift debriefs
- Assist with the development and support of junior staff members
- Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment within the home
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience working with children or young people, ideally in residential care
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs or challenging behaviours
- A good understanding of safeguarding and children’s residential care frameworks
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- The resilience and passion required to support vulnerable young people
- A Full UK Driving Licence
