š· Salary: Up to Ā£60,000 per annum
š Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for the management and leadership of a new childrenās home. The successful candidate will lead the home in providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of children, underpinned by trauma-informed and PACE principles.
You will act as a role model for both staff and children, ensuring the highest safeguarding standards are embedded in practice. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
š Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the home in line with Childrenās Homes Quality Standards, Regulations, and SCCIF.
Ensure safeguarding concerns are reported to the RI and that Reg 40 notifications to Ofsted are timely and accurate.
Maintain an Ofsted rating of āGoodā or above.
Oversee all administrative and quality assurance functions, including R44, R45, and Annexe A requirements.
Manage the homeās budget effectively.
Recruit, supervise, and develop staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Support the design and review of care policies and procedures.
Ensure training and CPD needs are identified and met for all staff.
Participate in the on-call rota and act as part of the senior management team.
š Qualifications & Experience
Working towards or holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Children & Young Peopleās Workforce.
At least 2 yearsā supervisory experience in a childrenās residential care setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and Ofsted regulations.
Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
