Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Doncaster) Salary: From £50,000 per year | Full-time, Permanent | On-site

We’re recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Doncaster-based children’s home supporting young people with complex needs. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who sets high standards, builds strong teams, and is committed to achieving Good/Outstanding outcomes.
The role You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, leading Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers, and ensuring safe, consistent, child-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, develop and inspire the staff team (induction, training, supervision, performance management, rota cover)
  • Oversee daily operations: shift planning, staffing deployment, budgets, petty cash, record keeping and reporting
  • Ensure key documents are robust, reviewed and up to date (care plans, risk assessments, anti-bullying plans)
  • Work closely with senior leadership to achieve and sustain Ofsted Good/Outstanding
  • Provide consistent support for children who may present with challenging behaviour
  • Maintain unwavering professionalism, integrity, and strong safeguarding practice
What we’re looking for
  • Experience supervising staff within children’s residential care
  • Previous Deputy Manager experience (or equivalent senior role) in a children’s home
  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 2 years – fully funded)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Flexible approach to rota cover when required
