We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a well-established 20-bedded care home in Chatham, providing high-quality care for older people, including those living with dementia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager or a strong deputy ready to step up into a supported leadership role. Youāll be joining a service with a wonderful team, a longstanding Deputy Manager, and hands-on support from the owner.
The home is already performing well, with a CQC rating of Good in most areas, and now needs a capable leader to build on those solid foundations and continue driving quality and consistency across the service.

š” The Role As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring:
- Safe, person-centred care for all residents
- Strong leadership and support for the staff team
- Full compliance with CQC regulations and care standards
- Effective medication management, care planning, and risk oversight
- A positive culture focused on dignity, compassion, and quality of life
- Ongoing service improvement and readiness for inspection
- Overseeing the daily operations of the home
- Leading, motivating, and developing the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of elderly and dementia care are maintained
- Managing staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance
- Monitoring care plans, audits, incidents, and safeguarding concerns
- Working closely with the Deputy Manager and owner to support the service
- Maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and commissioners
- Previous experience in a management role within a care home setting
- Strong knowledge of elderly and dementia care
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop teams
- A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
- £40,000 salary
