They are looking for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager that will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Deputy Children Homes Manager Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the rights of the young people are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with the principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.
- Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
- Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users’ needs these are raised with the Service Manager.
- Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Heartwood Care’s policies and procedures.
- Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.
- Promote young people’s involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development.
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.
Deputy Children Homes Manager requirements:
- NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.
- Children's Residential Care experience (2 Years)
- Understanding of OFSTED Regulations and compliance Requirements
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support.
