Deputy Children Homes Manager – East London Area – Up to £39,500 – Full Time Role
 
Job Summary
We are proud to be working with a fantastic Children’s Home that are looking for experienced and Passionate people to join the team. They are looking for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager that will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. In keeping with the company ethos, the Deputy Manager is focused on quality, excellent service delivery, supporting staff development, efficient use of resources, development, and commercial success.
 
Deputy Children Homes Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the rights of the young people are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with the principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.
  • Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
  • Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users’ needs these are raised with the Service Manager.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Heartwood Care’s policies and procedures.
  • Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.
  • Promote young people’s involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.
 
 
Deputy Children Homes Manager requirements:
  • NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.
  • Children's Residential Care experience (2 Years)
  • Understanding of OFSTED Regulations and compliance Requirements
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support.
