About the Role As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wellbeing, development, and safeguarding of the young people in the home. You will act as a role model, provide leadership to colleagues, and work closely with specialists to ensure every young person receives tailored, therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Mentor and support team members in behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with therapists and the Wellbeing Team to develop behaviour support and risk management plans.
- Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns and ensure young people feel safe and supported.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports in line with company policy and regulatory standards.
- Support daily routines, life skills development, and social integration activities.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a residential childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support, and relevant legislation (Childrenās Act, Ofsted, Prevent Duty, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Commitment to the wellbeing and progress of children and young people.
Full UK driving license required
