Job Advert – Registered Manager (Children’s Residential Care) Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to open and lead our client's first children’s home in Bournemouth. This is a rare opportunity to build a service from scratch and create a warm, safe, and structured environment for children to thrive.

About the home
The brand-new 5-bedroom property will accommodate up to 4 children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), depending on the Manager’s specialism and experience.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team
  • Implement and maintain high-quality care practices and safeguarding standards
  • Develop individual care plans and ensure each child’s needs are met with compassion and professionalism
  • Promote a culture of positive behaviour support, inclusion, and personal development
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing a children’s home with LD and/or EBD placements
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for making a difference in young people’s lives
