About the Role
We are excited to be working with a fantastic and well Established Children’s Home who is looking to bring on an experienced Deputy Manager to help lead a stable, supportive home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record in residential childcare who’s ready to step into a key leadership role.
 
Deputy Children’s Home Manager Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager and lead the home to ensure a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support residential care staff across shifts
  • Maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic home for children
  • Support the Registered Manager with: Compliance, Operational planning, Staff development and supervision
  • Ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered
  • Be a role model to both young people and your team
 
Deputy Children’s Home Manager Requirements
This role is suitable for experienced professionals in children’s residential care only.
Essential Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a children’s residential setting
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader position
Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Required
  • Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families – Desirable (or willingness to work towards)
Other Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to a vehicle for commuting
  • Strong leadership, emotional resilience, and problem-solving skills
 
Deputy Children’s Home Manager’s Salary & Benefits Package
  • Base Salary: £35,200 per year
  • Performance Bonus: Up to £4,800 per year
  • Total Package Potential: Up to £40,000 per annum
