Overview Opportunity:
We’re are working with a fantastic Children’s Home who is looking for an experienced, compassionate, and energetic Team Leader to join their residential home in Peterborough. You’ll support young people aged 8–18 with autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioural needs.
🔹 Team Leader Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Manager with day-to-day operations
- Create a safe, warm, and responsive environment
- Support care planning and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in meetings with families and professionals
- Ensure safeguarding and policy compliance at all times
- Lead by example during shifts and delegate tasks clearly
- Engage in daily routines and fun activities (e.g., sports, arts)
- Administer medication safely and manage records
- Keep clear, detailed logs and incident reports
- Be a reliable role model for both young people and staff
🔹 Team Leader Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (preferred)
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Ofsted-regulated residential setting (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- In-person working only
- All roles subject to enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references
