Activities Coordinator – Day Care Service
£13–£14 per hour – Peterborough – 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am–4pm)
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join a well-established day care service in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting older people and those living with dementia, helping them to engage in meaningful, stimulating activities that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
About the Role
As Activities Coordinator, you will design and deliver a varied programme of group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs. Working Monday to Friday, you will create a supportive and enjoyable environment where service users feel valued and engaged. This role is ideal for someone with energy, compassion, and a passion for making a difference in people’s daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily activities to promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, and staff.
- Maintain records of activities and participation.
- Support service events, celebrations, and outings.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all service users.
- Previous experience in an activities, care, or support role.
- Creative, organised, and able to plan engaging activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient, with a person-centred approach.
- Knowledge of dementia-friendly activities is desirable.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13–£14 per hour.
- Stable Monday–Friday hours (9am–4pm).
