Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD) 📍 Lancashire | 💷 £55,000 – £75,000 + Bonuses | 🕒 Full-time

Opportunity to work with a startup organisation dedicated to making a meaningful impact in children’s lives. The first residential home is a three-bedroom EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) provision, designed to offer high-quality, therapeutic care for children and young people.
This is a unique opportunity to join from the ground up,  helping to shape the direction, culture, and future of our service.

Key Responsibilities
As the Registered Manager, you will:
  • Lead the Ofsted registration process, including SC1 and SC2 submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Develop and maintain the Statement of Purpose and Children’s Guide.
  • Oversee the setup phase and prepare the home for inspection and registration.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the home.
  • Implement and regularly update policies & procedures (safeguarding, behaviour management, health & safety, missing child protocols).
  • Drive strategies to achieve and sustain an Outstanding Ofsted rating. ⭐
  • Recruit and lead staff in line with safer recruitment guidance.
  • Deliver supervision, training, and performance monitoring for staff.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Create individualised care plans for each young person.
  • Implement a robust quality assurance framework and conduct internal audits.
  • Oversee budgeting and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, healthcare providers, and education services.
Requirements Experience:
  • Proven success in registering and managing a children’s residential home.
  • Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework.
Qualifications:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – Essential.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised with strong care, compliance, and people management skills.
Other:
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
