  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our children’s residential homes.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and personal development for every child.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support a skilled team of care staff.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently, reporting into the regional leadership.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with local authorities, families, educational institutions, and healthcare professionals.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive and grow.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Ensure day-to-day efficiency, regulatory adherence, and smooth running of the home.
  • Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment.
  • Leadership & HR: Guide your team with empathy and professionalism; foster their growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee budgets, expenses, and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Engage with external stakeholders to coordinate care and enrich outcomes.
  • Planning & Reporting: Contribute to strategic planning and maintain compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies.
💼 Candidate Profile
  • Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People’s Residential Management) – or working towards it
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in residential child care.
  • Deep knowledge of UK safeguarding laws, Children Act, and Ofsted regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to delivering responsive, child-focused care.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
