Starting Salary: £40,000 + Occupancy Bonus
Progression: Salary increases to £50,000 upon promotion to Registered Manager (with full course funded)
Home Capacity: 4 beds – Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Deputy Children’s Home Manager to help open and develop a brand-new 4-bed home for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled deputy or senior residential professional ready to take the next step toward becoming a Registered Manager – with full training and qualifications paid for.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to set up and run the home, lead the staff team, and ensure that the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained. You will support in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Registered Manager with all aspects of running the home
  • Help recruit, train, and develop the staff team
  • Promote positive outcomes in education, emotional wellbeing, and independence for young people
  • Maintain compliance with OFSTED regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Step up in the absence of the Registered Manager
Requirements:
  • Experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong understanding of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience supporting young people with EBD
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Commitment to professional development and progression
