Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Ofsted ‘Good’) – EBD/LD Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £46,500 – £50,500 per annum + bonus up to £3,000
Hours: Average 37.5 hours per week
Extras: Paid sleep-ins and overtime
On-Call: Part of a rota

👤 The Role Following an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ EBD/LD home for young people aged 5–18.
You will take full responsibility for managing the home, ensuring outstanding care, compliance, and leadership. Your role will be central in creating an environment where every child can achieve their potential.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguarding: Always place the welfare and safety of children at the heart of everything we do.
  • Leadership: Deliver the home’s Statement of Purpose and lead your team effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the home meets and exceeds Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and local authority standards.
  • Team Development: Recruit, support, and nurture your staff team to perform at their best.
  • Operational Management: Oversee budgets, staff rotas, and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain excellent relationships with external professionals and partner agencies.
💼 What We’re Looking For
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Previous management experience in children’s residential care with proven Ofsted ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills to inspire and motivate staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full UK manual driving licence

Licence/Certification:
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (required)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred)
