You’ll play a key role in leading shifts, supporting junior staff, and ensuring children receive high-quality, trauma-informed care that helps them thrive.
🔑 What You’ll Do
- Lead shifts and provide day-to-day guidance and support to staff and young people.
- Contribute to care planning, behaviour management, and risk assessments.
- Support children to engage in education, therapy, and meaningful activities.
- Ensure the home maintains a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
- Participate in sleep-in shifts (paid at £50 per night) to ensure consistent care.
- Act as a role model for junior team members, demonstrating best practice and professional standards.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or already working towards it).
- Experience working in a children’s home or similar setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others.
- Good transferable skills (e.g., youth work, SEN education, social care) will also be considered.
- A caring, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
