NEW Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time - Up to £70,000 per annum
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive, friendly team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a great balance between consulting and surgery, with a varied caseload and the chance to make a real difference to patients and clients.

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive, friendly team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a great balance between consulting and surgery, with a varied caseload and the chance to make a real difference to patients and clients.
The Role:
- 40 hours per week (4 weekdays + 1 in 3 Saturdays)
- No OOH or on-call
- One weekday off every week
- Year’s rota planned in advance
- Sundays off (no plans to open)
- At least three mornings of surgery each week
- Mix of 15–30 minute appointments
- Admin time included in the day
As a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK, your duties will typically include:
- Conducting consultations and clinical examinations to diagnose health issues in animals
- Recommending and carrying out appropriate treatments, including prescribing medicines under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations
- Performing routine and advanced surgeries
- Providing preventative healthcare advice to clients, including vaccinations, parasite control, nutrition, and lifestyle
- Interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and imaging (X-ray, ultrasound)
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in line with RCVS requirements
- Ensuring animal welfare standards are met in all aspects of care
- Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to deliver high-quality service
- Engaging in continued professional development (CPD) to maintain and enhance clinical skills
- Salary £45,000–£70,000 (DOE)
- £1,750 CPD budget + 5 paid CPD days
- Certificate support (separate from CPD budget)
- RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
