We’re recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a well-established early years setting in Cramlington. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can drive quality, coach teams, and ensure outstanding outcomes for children — with strong support in place to help you succeed.
The Role As Nursery Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and compliance. You’ll be a visible leader on the floor, support staff performance, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the nursery team to deliver consistently high-quality practice
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, rotas, and room deployment
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain strong compliance standards
- Build positive relationships with parents/carers and external professionals
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and child development across the setting
- Level 6 qualification in Early Years/Nursery Care (essential)
- 3–5 years’ experience in leadership roles within early years/childcare
- Strong knowledge of nursery operations, safeguarding, and quality standards
- Confident people manager with a supportive, professional approach
- £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience (DOE)
- ASAP start
- A well-supported management position, with guidance and structure in place so you’re not on your own
