Registered Manager – Solo Children's Home (SEBD)

A brand-new solo children’s home is opening in Basildon, supporting a young person aged 8–18 with SEBD and challenging behaviours. This is the first home in a wider Essex expansion, offering clear progression into dual registration as additional homes open.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Registered Manager to lead this provision and shape a high-quality, therapeutic environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

🏠 Lead the day-to-day running of a solo SEBD home in line with regulations and Ofsted
🛡️ Oversee safeguarding, care planning, quality assurance, and staff supervision
💛 Provide consistent, trauma-informed, child-centred support
👥 Recruit, motivate, and develop a committed staff team
📅 Manage audits, budgets, rotas, reporting, and inspection readiness
🤝 Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies

What We’re Looking For

✔️ 2 years’ residential childcare experience
✔️ 1 year as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
✔️ Strong leadership, auditing, rota and budget management skills
✔️ Solid understanding of Reg 44/45 and SCCIF
✔️ Level 5 Leadership & Management (or working towards)
🚗 Full UK Driving Licence
