šŸ’¼ About the Role We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Service Manager (RSM) to join our leadership team and oversee supported accommodation services for young people leaving careĀ  including 16–18-year-olds, over 18s, and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
You’ll initially manage six properties, with scope to expand as our service portfolio grows. As the Ofsted-registered manager, you’ll ensure our services operate safely, effectively, and in full compliance with the Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023.

šŸŽÆ Key Responsibilities Operational Management
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to deliver high-quality supported accommodation.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and practices in line with current legislation.
  • Monitor service performance and ensure financial and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with Ofsted during inspections and reviews.
  • Manage a growing property portfolio and align staff resources to meet service demand.
Support & Development for Young People
  • Create and oversee individualised support and pathway plans for each young person.
  • Foster independence, life skills, and self-confidence as young people transition into adulthood.
  • Promote access to education, employment, and health services suited to individual needs.
  • Ensure each young person feels heard, safe, and supported in achieving their goals.
Staff Management
  • Lead on recruitment, training, supervision, and appraisals, ensuring Safer Recruitment practices.
  • Oversee staff rotas to meet all contracted hours.
  • Provide continuous support and professional development for the team.
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture focused on young people’s outcomes.
Compliance & Safeguarding
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023.
  • Implement and maintain robust safeguarding procedures.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with professionals to resolve issues.
Communication
  • Communicate effectively with young people, professionals, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Contribute to reviews, meetings, and reports with accuracy and clarity.
🧩 Skills & Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in managing supported accommodation or care services.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to empowering young people.
  • Confident with IT systems and data management.
  • A passion for ensuring every young person has a voice and equal opportunities.

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
