Job Overview

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people? We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to join a senior leadership team and oversee a portfolio of children’s residential homes.

This role is ideal for an established Registered Manager ready to step into senior management, or an experienced Area/Regional Manager looking to work within a forward-thinking, values-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple children’s homes

Achieve and maintain Responsible Individual (RI) status

Drive quality, performance, and continuous improvement, achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes

Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding standards, and statutory requirements

Lead on risk management, audits, and quality assurance processes

Ensure services are financially viable and operationally effective

Build strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external stakeholders

Recruit, develop, and support high-performing management and staff teams

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home rated Good or above

Proven operational leadership experience within children’s residential care

Strong working knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted frameworks, and safeguarding

Demonstrable experience achieving and maintaining Responsible Individual status

Excellent leadership, communication, and financial management skills

Evidence of delivering positive outcomes for children and young people

Relevant professional qualification (e.g. social work or equivalent) to Level 4 or above

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Residential Children’s Services (or willingness to complete)

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
