We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to open and lead a brand new 3-bed children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rare opportunity to shape a service from registration through to full occupancy and long-term stability.
The Role
  • Lead the Ofsted registration, launch, and ongoing management of the home
  • Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements
  • Build, lead, and develop a stable, high-performing staff team
  • Embed a therapeutic, trauma-informed, child-centred culture
  • Oversee safeguarding, care planning, quality assurance, and inspection readiness
  • Maintain effective partnerships with professionals, commissioners, and senior leadership
  • Take full accountability for outcomes, staffing, and service quality
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of EBD, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven leadership capability with experience opening, stabilising, or improving services
  • Resilient, organised, and confident decision-maker
  • Passionate about delivering consistently high standards of care
