Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care

💰 £30,000 per annum
🕒 Full-time | Shift-based rota
An established children’s residential care provider is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a 5-bed EBD children’s home in Sileby. The service currently supports young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, with a planned transition to Learning Disabilities (LD) provision in the New Year.
This role suits an experienced senior support worker ready to step into leadership, or an existing Team Leader seeking stability and progression.
The Role

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
• Act as a role model for staff, maintaining high standards of care and practice
• Support care planning, key work, and risk management
• Ensure safeguarding procedures and Children’s Homes Regulations are followed
• Mentor and support residential staff during shifts
• Work closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
• Support young people to achieve positive outcomes, independence, and stability

The Home

• 5-bed children’s residential service
• Current EBD placement model
• Planned LD transition in the New Year (training and support provided)

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (essential)
• Experience working in children’s residential care (EBD essential)
• Willingness to support an LD service model in the future
• Strong safeguarding awareness and leadership on shift
• Full UK driving licence preferred
