Children’s Residential Deputy Manager (Dual Management)
Location: Sileby, Leicestershire
Salary: £30,000 per year £73.89 per sleep-in
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Sunday with optional overtime
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated and resilient Children’s Residential Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a nurturing, child-centred residential service in Sileby. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in transforming the lives of children and young people aged 5–18, including those with EBD and LD needs.
As Deputy Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team of Support Workers, safeguard young people, and ensure high standards of care, structure and consistency.
About the Role As Children’s Residential Deputy Manager, you will:
  • Lead, support and supervise a team of Support Workers
  • Safeguard young people and promote their welfare at all times
  • Support with developing Care Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessments
  • Help run the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Participate in recreational and community activities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Maintain high-quality record keeping and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to a supportive, developmental team culture
Requirements
  • QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare / CYP (or equivalent) – essential
  • Willingness to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare environment
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/senior role
  • Strong understanding of Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted requirements
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Resilient, compassionate and committed to achieving positive outcomes
  • Computer literate with strong attention to detail
  • Driving licence – preferred
