Service Manager – Domiciliary Care
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Registered Manager
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to support the Registered Manager and oversee the day-to-day running of a well-established domiciliary care service in Southend.
This role sits directly beneath the Registered Manager, taking operational responsibility for the domiciliary side of the business, while the wider organisation also operates a Children’s Supported Living service.
The Role
Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff-on-Sea, Shoeburyness, Rochford, Rayleigh, Hockley, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Wickford, Basildon and surrounding Essex areas.

The Role
- Oversee daily operations of the domiciliary care service
- Support staff management, supervision and performance
- Ensure rotas are effectively managed and care calls delivered safely
- Monitor care planning, risk assessments and compliance
- Support CQC standards and quality assurance processes
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training
- Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Experience at Deputy or Service Manager level within domiciliary care
- Strong understanding of CQC compliance and governance
- Confident managing teams and operational processes
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
