About the Service We are a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider supporting adults aged 18 across Ipswich and the wider Suffolk area. Our services include elderly care, dementia support, mental health, complex needs, and reablement, delivered through a person-centred and responsive approach.
We pride ourselves on strong communication, safe staffing, and high-quality coordination that ensures both clients and care workers feel supported.
The Role We are seeking an organised, calm, and people-focused Care Coordinator to support the day-to-day coordination of care delivery. This role is vital in ensuring visits are safely staffed, rotas are accurate, and care continues smoothly — even when plans change at short notice.
You’ll work closely with management, care workers, clients, and families to keep services running effectively and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily and weekly rotas to ensure safe, consistent care delivery
  • Allocate care workers based on skills, availability, location, and client preferences
  • Manage sickness, absence cover, and urgent rota changes
  • Communicate clearly with clients, families, care staff, and professionals
  • Maintain accurate records on the care management/scheduling system
  • Support onboarding of new care packages, including start dates and rota setup
  • Escalate risks, incidents, and safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Contribute to service quality through strong documentation and problem-solving
  • Participate in the on-call rota if required (to be discussed at interview)
What We’re Looking For Essential:
  • Experience in domiciliary care coordination, scheduling, or a similar care operations role
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
  • Confident communication skills, including handling sensitive conversations
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable using digital care systems and scheduling platforms
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of CQC expectations (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led)
  • Experience coordinating dementia, mental health, or complex care packages
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • UK driving licence (preferred due to local travel)
One month of complimentary accommodation is available if relocation is required.
What’s on Offer
  • Salary of Ā£28,000 per year
  • Supportive, locally managed team environment
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A meaningful role with real impact on service quality and client outcomes
