Exceptional Care is a leading therapeutic children’s care provider in the Northwest. We support young people aged 8–17 with EBD, high-risk challenging behaviour, and complex needs, delivering consistent, compassionate, trauma-informed care.
We’re now looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of one of our homes and lead confidently in the Registered Manager’s absence.
🔹 The Role As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role within the home, supporting both young people and staff to achieve positive outcomes.
You will:

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day home management
• Lead shifts, delegate tasks, and maintain high-quality records and care plans
• Support care planning, reviews, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff (inductions, supervisions, appraisals)
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
• Liaise with professionals and external agencies
• Participate in on-call duties as required
• Uphold Children’s Homes Regulations and company policies at all times

✅ What You’ll Need

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience at senior level in a children’s residential setting
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Confidence, resilience, and a genuine passion for improving young lives
