Children's Home Manager role - Blackpool Area

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Responsible To: Responsible Individual & Company Director
Full Time 9-5

✨ Role Purpose:
Lead and manage a children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centred care. Oversee day-to-day operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and delivery of positive outcomes for children in line with care plans.
👥 Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, supervise, and develop staff teams
    • Implement company policies, Statement of Purpose, and regulatory standards
    • Organise staff rotas, appraisals, and training plans
    • Promote equal opportunities, ethical practice, and staff accountability
  • Service Delivery & Care for Children:
    • Deliver and oversee high-quality childcare to achieve positive outcomes
    • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety compliance
    • Develop individualised care plans and coordinate access to education, health, and therapy services
    • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies
  • 📋 Governance & Compliance:
    • Maintain regulatory and quality assurance documentation for inspections
    • Manage budgets and resources efficiently
    • Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure continuous improvement
📚 Person Specification:
  • Qualifications:
    • Level 3/4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services desirable
    • Drivers License
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in residential care with children/young people
    • Staff supervision and budget management
    • Experience of inspections and multi-agency collaboration
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and quality assurance
    • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
    • IT proficiency
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Integrity, flexibility, commitment to children’s best outcomes
    • Emotional resilience and a practical, imaginative approach to childcare
