Children's Home Manager role - Blackpool Area
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Responsible To: Responsible Individual & Company Director

✨ Role Purpose:
Lead and manage a children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centred care. Oversee day-to-day operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and delivery of positive outcomes for children in line with care plans.

👥 Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff teams
- Implement company policies, Statement of Purpose, and regulatory standards
- Organise staff rotas, appraisals, and training plans
- Promote equal opportunities, ethical practice, and staff accountability
- Service Delivery & Care for Children:
- Deliver and oversee high-quality childcare to achieve positive outcomes
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety compliance
- Develop individualised care plans and coordinate access to education, health, and therapy services
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies
- 📋 Governance & Compliance:
- Maintain regulatory and quality assurance documentation for inspections
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure continuous improvement
- Qualifications:
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services desirable
- Drivers License
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in residential care with children/young people
- Staff supervision and budget management
- Experience of inspections and multi-agency collaboration
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and quality assurance
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- IT proficiency
- Personal Attributes:
- Integrity, flexibility, commitment to children’s best outcomes
- Emotional resilience and a practical, imaginative approach to childcare
