Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (approx. 20 hours direct support / 20 hours administrative duties)
Working Pattern: Mixture of shifts including every other weekend

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the running of our 8-bed residential home for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs. You will play a key role in ensuring a high standard of care, promoting independence, and supporting both staff and residents to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Work alongside and lead the care team, spending approximately 20 hours per week on the floor providing hands-on support.
  • Undertake 20 hours of administrative and leadership duties, including rota planning, staff supervision, and care plan reviews.
  • Promote a person-centred approach to care, ensuring residents are involved in decisions affecting their lives.
  • Support with staff training, performance monitoring, and development.
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Ensure the home remains a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all residents.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) – essential
  • Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and/or Mental Health needs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including every other weekend
  • A caring, professional attitude with commitment to high-quality care
