Registered Children’s Home Manager – Cheshire Area – Up to £65,000 (depending experience, qualification and earned bonuses)
 
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Children’s Manager to lead this dedicated team in delivering exceptional care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting difference in children’s lives while developing your career in a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care, achieving Good or Outstanding ratings with OFSTED.
 
Children’s Home Essential Job Requirements
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for children, including those with learning difficulties and EBD.
  • Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of care professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee medication management processes in line with regulations and best practice.
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies to deliver holistic care and support.
  • Drive quality assurance through regular audits, evaluations, and action plans.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records, ensuring readiness for inspections.
 
Children Home Manager Desirable Attributes
  • Proven leadership experience in children’s residential care homes.
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations with a history of achieving Good or Outstanding outcomes.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering effective, child-centred care plans.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and safe medication administration.
