About The Home
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Children's Home Manager to join this fantastic Childrens Home to support the Manager at one of their OFSTED-registered children’s homes. You will support the overall responsibility for the running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and outcomes for young people aged 8–18 with complex needs.

About The Home
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Children's Home Manager to join this fantastic Childrens Home to support the Manager at one of their OFSTED-registered children’s homes. You will support the overall responsibility for the running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and outcomes for young people aged 8–18 with complex needs.
What You Will Need to Succeed as a Deputy Manager:
- Flexibility to respond to the needs of the unit and young people.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, supervise, appraise staff and ensure that training and development needs are met
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete risk assessments & Placement Plans in residential and community settings
- Excellent report writing and organisational skills
- Multi-disciplinary approach to meeting clinical, physical and emotional needs.
- Genuine commitment to the welfare of Looked After children.
- Committed to Anti-Oppressive practice and equality
- Honesty, Tolerance, Trustworthy, Patience, Flexibility.
- Interest in the development of other workers Application Form Interview Qualifications/ Education
Deputy Manager Requirements:
- Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or commitment to work towards
- At least 2 years supervisor experience within a children’s home
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable
- Good knowledge of Ofsted
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and legislation
- Strong, energetic leader
- Computer literate
- Organised and able to multitask
- Car driver (with own transport)
