We are working with a highly regarded care provider in the Brighton area to recruit an experienced Nursing Home Deputy Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-run home with a Good CQC rating and an excellent local reputation for delivering quality care.

About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance. You’ll play a key role in leading and mentoring the nursing and care teams, promoting best practice, and driving continuous improvement within the home.
This role offers both operational responsibility and hands-on clinical input, making it an ideal opportunity for a strong clinical leader ready to step into a senior management role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Home Manager with the overall running of the nursing home.
  • Lead and mentor the nursing and care teams to ensure person-centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Oversee care planning, medication management, and clinical governance.
  • Contribute to audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
Candidate Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home setting.
  • Strong understanding of CQC requirements and clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting staff development.
