Vet Nurse

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Private Practice | Full-Time | North East England

Are you a dedicated RVN looking to join a friendly, supportive, and well-established team? We’re working with a fantastic, privately owned, multi-branch veterinary practice offering a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative, client-focused environment that also provides its own out-of-hours service.

The Role:

• Full-time position – 35 hours per week, ideally over 4 long days (with a fixed weekday off)
• Work alongside a large team of experienced RVNs, SVNs, and Auxiliary Nurses
• Contribute to the smooth running of the practice alongside vets and reception staff

Rota & Shift Details:

💼 Weekdays:

• 4-day working week (Mon–Fri) preferred
• Fixed day off for work-life balance

🕒 Weekend & Bank Holiday Shifts (shared rota, paid at time and a half):

• Saturday mornings (1 in 4)
• Saturday & Sunday full-day shifts (approx. 3–4 per year)
• Occasional cover for sickness/absence (approx. 3–4 per year)

🌙 Night Shifts (shared rota, with time off in lieu):

• Monday night (approx. 3 per year)
• Full weekend night shifts (Fri–Sun) approx. 3 times per year, with the following week off (Mon–Fri)

All out-of-hours and night shifts are based at a fully equipped, 24-hour hospital branch.
