Registered Care Home Manager (Non-Nurse)

📍 Location: Whitehaven area, Cumbria
🏥 Service Type: Elderly & Dementia Residential Care Home
💷 Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week – some evening and weekend flexibility required

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Care Home Manager to lead a well-established residential service supporting older adults and those living with dementia. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and capable leader to join a stable, supportive care provider with a strong reputation for quality.

About the Role:

The Registered Manager will take full responsibility for the operational management of the home, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and maintaining a safe, caring, and person-centred environment. You’ll lead and develop your team, oversee care standards, and drive continuous improvement throughout the service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance
• Lead, motivate, and support a dedicated care team
• Maintain high occupancy and build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals
• Oversee care planning, audits, and quality assurance processes
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for all residents

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within elderly or dementia care
• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management (or working towards)
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Passionate about delivering person-centred, high-quality care
