🧾 Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager – Elderly Care Service

Location: Canterbury area
Salary: £21.50 per hour (days) / £22.00 per hour (nights and overtime)
Employment Term: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week

Overview: A well-established and respected elderly care provider in the Canterbury area is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for older adults, including those living with dementia. This is a day-based role within a compassionate and supportive service committed to excellence in care and compliance.

About the Role: As Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you’ll oversee clinical standards, mentor nursing and care teams, and promote residents’ wellbeing through safe and effective care practices. Working closely with colleagues and external professionals, you’ll ensure the highest standards of nursing care and compliance with CQC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of nurses and care staff.
  • Oversee and audit clinical practices, ensuring adherence to CQC standards.
  • Develop and maintain personalised care plans.
  • Support staff training, supervision, and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • NMC-registered Nurse (RGN / RMN).
  • Proven leadership experience in a care home or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT and record-keeping ability.
  • Passion for elderly care and promoting person-centred support.
