We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Deputy Manager to join a well-established elderly dementia residential care home in Penzance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to develop their career and progress into a Registered Manager position, working closely with the current RM and gaining hands-on experience.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care. You’ll lead and motivate staff, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and develop the skills needed to step into a Registered Manager role in the future, with the exciting prospect of becoming a dual Registered Manager overseeing multiple services.

- Provide leadership and supervision to the care team
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality dementia care tailored to residents' needs
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Support recruitment, training, and staff development
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
- Prepare to step up into a Registered Manager role through structured mentoring and development
- Experience in a leadership role within a residential care or nursing home environment
- Strong knowledge of dementia care practices and standards
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Good understanding of CQC compliance and safeguarding
- Ambition to progress into a Registered Manager position
