Operations Manager
Deputy Manager – Care Location: Edwinstowe, NG21
Salary: £18.00 per hour + 10% quarterly bonus based on SMART objectives
Hours: Full-time, 7am – 7pm, 3–4 days per week (including alternate weekends)
Includes 22 supernumerary hours per week

Team members under 21 receive £1.00 per hour less – still above the National Minimum Wage for this age group.
🏡 About the Home This purpose-built, homely care setting provides personal, nursing, and dementia care to up to 49 residents. It has a welcoming atmosphere with garden spaces designed to promote wellbeing and comfort for residents and families alike.
Role Overview As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and the smooth running of the home.
You will lead by example, motivate the team, and ensure compliance with company policies and care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Home Manager to maintain exceptional care standards
  • Ensure care plans are completed and reviewed monthly
  • Lead on medication management, including audits and safe handling
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop care teams to achieve their potential
  • Promote a positive, person-centred care environment for residents
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and best practice
Essential Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualification, e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in Health & Social Care
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a residential/nursing home setting, including 1 year with dementia care
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care planning
  • Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults, including recognising and reporting signs of abuse
  • Live within 30 minutes of the care home
Preferred Experience:
  • 2+ years in a Deputy Manager role within a care or nursing home
  • NVQ Level 4 or higher in Adult Health & Social Care
  • Experience supervising and developing team members
  • Solid experience supporting residents living with dementia
