🌟 Interim Reablement Service Manager – 6 Month Contract 🌟
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 (Pro Rata)
Start: ASAP
We’re looking for an experienced Interim Reablement Service Manager to lead an Occupational Therapist–led reablement service focused on helping people regain independence, reduce hospital admissions and avoid long-term care.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee service delivery, drive improvement, and ensure outstanding, person-centred care.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary reablement team
• Act as CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance
• Manage day-to-day service operations and performance targets
• Drive innovation, culture change and continuous service improvement
• Oversee staff recruitment, deployment, supervision and wellbeing
• Work closely with NHS teams, local authority partners and community services
• Travel between sites and participate in out-of-hours on-call when required

Essential Requirements

• Previous Registered Manager experience in social care
• Level 5 Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
• Proven background in community-based, reablement, domiciliary, or intermediate care services
• Strong leadership, performance management & culture-change skills
• Analytical mindset, comfortable with data and IT systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement ability

Desirable

• Occupational Therapist qualification
• Postgraduate Health/Social Care/Leadership qualification
• Experience with service transformation or turnaround
• Knowledge of integrated care pathways, commissioning & CQC frameworks
